How does deathly hallows part 1 begin
They first saw it at Bill and Fleur's wedding on a necklace that Luna's father, Xenophilius, was wearing, and then it showed up again on a grave in the cemetery at Godric's Hollow. They're pretty sure it must be significant, so the gang decides to go visit the Lovegoods to find out more about the symbol and its meaning. As with the trip to Godric's Hollow, there is good news…and bad news. We'll start with the good stuff: Xenophilius gives kids get the full scoop about the symbol.
Turns out, it represents something called the Deathly Hallows. The what? Well, we'll give you the kind of short version of the "Tale of the Three Brothers" which is where the Hallows legend got started. According to that story, there are three magical objects floating around the world that, when held together, can make someone the master of death: an invisibility cloak hmm, where have we seen one of those?
Is it the wand mentioned in the tale? Well, we don't know for sure yet, but it's totally possible. Anyway, that story gives Harry, Hermione, and Ron lots of stuff to think about, in terms of Voldemort's motivations and, perhaps, how to beat him. After all, being master of death seems like it could be more than a little helpful, if the Hallows are legit, right? So, now for the bad news: The Death Eaters have taken Luna, and when Harry shows up to talk Hallows, Xenophilius decides to alert the Death Eaters in the hopes of arranging an exchange.
Harry and his friends manage to escape before the Death Eaters get them, though. Once escaping, they run straight into a gang of "Snatchers," who apparently go around rounding up people who have been running from the Ministry.
Hermione stuns Harry with a spell that disguises his face, but the snatchers are still wise to the fact that they might have Harry Potter. So, they take the kids to Malfoy Manor, which seems to be Death Eater headquarters these days. Once there, it's pretty much chaos: Bellatrix remember her? In desperation, Harry tries to summon help using a shard of magical mirror that appears to have another face Dumbledore's?
So, through Dobby's help, the kids and Ollivander all manage to get out. Sadly, though, Dobby dies through his efforts. The kids bury Dobby where they end up a beach and prepare for the next stage of the adventure. Oh, and Voldemort sneaks into Dumbledore's grave and steals the wand he was buried with. It seems Dumbledore may have had that super powerful wand…and now Voldemort does. What could go wrong? Parents Home Homeschool College Resources.

Trivia Jason Isaacs Lucius Malfoy originally considered not returning for this movie, fearing that his character's arrest and imprisonment at the end of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix would mean very little, if any, screentime in the finale.
Upon meeting J. Rowling , he begged to be let out of prison. She told him "You're out. Chapter one. Goofs at around 1h 28 mins In Harry's flashback of the night his parents were killed, Voldemort is shown in his resurrected form, as opposed to his pre-death state of being.
Neither the book nor the movie tell us exactly what Voldemort looked like the night of the Potters' murders. Both, however, allude to his changing appearance becoming less human. Quotes Bellatrix Lestrange : You stupid elf! Crazy credits The end credits are in 3D gold text. When they conclude, the Deathly Hallows symbol appears, first in extreme close-up with all three items rotating independently like the one Mr. Lovegood wears around his neck , then shrinks down with the title appearing centered across it.
Next, the line fades out followed by the circle and, as the triangle fades out, the Elder Wand appears in its place. User reviews Review. Top review. A strong beginning to a grand finale. The best film of the franchise so far.
It should be wise for people to at least watch the first six films in order before watching this one, if they haven't read the books already. With this film, we are slowly but surely bidding farewell to one of cinema's most successful and imaginative franchises.
The franchise, like Harry Potter himself, has grown and matured as the years and films progress. Part I of the "Deathly Hallows" is ultimately a strong build- up to what will be a triumphant, bittersweet finale for everybody. I won't waste time trying to talk about the performances, because they are all great and powerful in their own way.
Never mind that many of the cast members are very talented veteran British actors try getting John Hurt, Alan Rickman, Ralph Fiennes, Brendan Gleeson, David Thewlis, Michael Gambon, Helena Bonham Carter, Imelda Staunton, Jason Isaacs and Bill Nighy in the same film again - the three young actors who we have come to love and care for following the first film a decade ago, basically carry the franchise on their shoulders, and this film is no exception.
Radcliffe looks handsome, Grint looks gruff, and Watson looks gorgeous. They've grown into fine young people. Screenwriter Steve Kloves doesn't forget to add the mood and gloom to the story as it slowly unfolds, but then again he adds some light humor to the film when it needs it. Bonus points for making this not only a visual spectacle, but also a character-driven ensemble; there's some complex characterization here.
Also there's some action which aren't seen on screen, but mentioned by the characters. It's OK, because it's necessary for the brisk pacing, and it's not really that important anyways. Besides, the human mind can imagine these images far more powerfully. There are many themes in this film. Sacrifice, determination, obviously friendship, and above all - acceptance. As the films progressed the films started to gain an increasingly dark momentum - signaling that all hope may be lost.
But in the end, will good triumph over evil? Like the film, real life isn't so sure. David Heyman gave additional details on the filming schedule for the two films: "We finished the sixth film which'll be coming out next summer and we start filming the seventh which we'll be breaking into two parts for a 54 week shoot starting in February Filming for both parts started officially on February 15, [31] and ended on June 12, The soundtrack was released on November 16, in U.

I would take every opportunity to use the fabulous theme composed by John Williams, I'd say it has not sufficiently used in the latest films, so if I have the opportunity and if the footage allows me, I'm going to arrange it, to give it another meaning Well, I have no obligation to use it but I shall make it with great honour and pleasure.

As for Deathly Hallows , I intuited — almost from the first moments I began reading it and certainly once I'd finished — that to realise the story in a single film was going to be a tall order. Others in 'the group' felt similarly. So the idea of two films began to get kicked around as early as late summer of We didn't take it lightly.
But ultimately everyone felt that despite the challenges it would present, it was the most sound creative decision. I'm sure some will think we're crazy. My wife looked at me cross-eyed when I first mentioned it. But I'm really excited about it because it should allow us to stretch a bit with the characters and give them the proper send-off. The story is highly emotional and those moments deserve time to breathe.
And, personally, I feel we owe it to Jo — in order to preserve the integrity of the work — and the fans — for their loyalty all these years — to give them the best and most complete experience possible.
